OPEN CAMPUS EXPERIENCE

Parents are invited to step into the classroom together with other parents and participate in NIS learning experiences.

Time: 2:30-5:00pm
Location: NIS Campus
We often hear from ELC and Elementary parents who are curious about what learning looks like in the later years at Nagoya International School, especially in Middle and High School.
- “How does inquiry change as students get older?”
- “What does rigor look like beyond the early years?”
- “How are students prepared for increasing independence and responsibility?”
The NIS Open Campus Experience on March 4 was created with those questions in mind!
During this experience, you will participate in our inquiry-based approach together with other parents, just as a middle school or high school student would! Parents are invited to step into the classroom together with other parents and take part in typical NIS learning experiences.
Along the way, teachers will share information about how lessons are designed and what students learn and demonstrate in Secondary school.
This is an opportunity to:
- Experience how inquiry looks beyond the Elementary years
- Better understand the progression from Primary into Middle and High School
- See how challenge, structure, and academic expectations grow over time
- Gain clarity and confidence in the long-term learning journey at NIS

Whether your child has just started their time at NIS or if you have been part of our community for many years, we hope this experience helps our parents better understand how each stage builds toward the next as students continue on through Secondary School.
Please note: This event is intended for Parents to experience the learning - not your children! If needed, ELC or Elementary students of registered parents will be able to participate in special learning activities led by our Primary team.
