Open Campus Day invites parents to spend part of a day at NIS and experience our school for yourself. Explore the campus, take part in learning and activities, meet students and teachers, hear from school leaders, and discover what learning and life at NIS are really like.

Whether you are considering Early Childhood, Elementary, Middle School or High School, the day is designed to give parents the freedom to explore what matters most to you.

Choose the Session That Works for You

Open Campus Day is offered in two sessions, with the same experiences available in both the morning and afternoon.

Choose the session that works best for your family and enjoy the full Open Campus Day experience. You are also welcome to stay longer and spend more time exploring NIS.

Morning Session: 09:00-12:00

EXPLORE

Discover NIS at your own pace.

Walk through the campus and explore the spaces, learning, programs and opportunities of an NIS education.

See student work, visit learning areas, join a student-led tour, meet members of our community, and discover parts of school life you won't see during a traditional campus visit.

EXPERIENCE

See it. Do it. Be part of it.

Try a learning challenge or an experiment, create something in a group, or join an activity with other parents.

Parents will have opportunities to experience learning in both Primary and Secondary, including science, design, arts, language, physical education, service, and co-curricular activities.

UNDERSTAND

Learn about what matters at NIS.

Throughout the day, you'll have opportunities to hear from school leaders, teachers, students, and specialists about learning, programs, and life at NIS.

Parents can learn more about our Primary and Secondary schools, the International Baccalaureate Program, our graduation pathways to college and university.

Choosing a school is about more than understanding its programs or seeing its facilities. It’s about beginning to picture your child in the classrooms, on the campus, and as part of the community.

Open Campus Day gives you the chance to experience NIS in a way that can help bring that picture into focus. As you spend time on campus, we hope you’ll begin to see not only what an NIS education offers, but what it could mean for your child and your family.

A Note About Child Attendance

Open Campus Day is designed for adults, and the learning activities are intended for parent participation only.

Prospective families may bring their children if needed; however, childcare will not be available. Children must remain with their parent or guardian at all times and cannot participate in the learning activities.

Current NIS parents whose children are attending classes that day are asked to explore learning experiences outside their child’s own grade level.
